Hello, I'm Yi Rong!
I'm a Master's student studying User Experience Design at the University of Toronto.
Currently, I am a UX Research Assistant at the TAG Lab, specialized in designing technology for the elderly. I am also a Teaching Assistant for a course titled User Interface Programming.
In the past year, I have worked as a UX Consultant for Special Olympics Ontario.
Why User Experience Design?
I took a course in User Experience Design and fell in love with it. To me, UX design was the missing link between software developers and graphic designers. Listening to people share about their experiences and making sure that we're solving the right problem is what drives me.
My interests include inclusive and accessible design, usable security, and privacy.
I bring my enthusiasm for design and empathy for users to projects, and I hope to co-design sustainable systems and solutions with users!

"It is important to draw wisdom from different places.
If you take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale.
Understanding others [...] and the other nations
will help you become whole."
